About
Meet Cathi
I found my way into Occupational Therapy following my degree in Psychology BSc. I’d known for a long time I wanted a job helping people, so when I came across Occupational Therapy it seemed like a perfect fit – person-centred and practical with a focus on supporting people to get back to doing the activities that matter the most to them.
I have worked in the NHS for the last 14 years. I have a range of clinical experience in Stroke, Neurological Rehabilitation, Vocational Rehabilitation, Older Adults and Complex Health. In 2023 I also qualified as a Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer. Pinnacle Occupational Therapy has grown out of my passion for rehabilitation and seeing that far too often people are stuck on waiting lists for months or are discharged without the right guidance or support. My ambition is to deliver a service with greater freedom that allows me to provide people with the support they need, when and where they need it.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, trail running and I’m a bit of a gym enthusiast! I also like down time with the family, creative writing and you can’t beat a good book!
Rehabilitation and support designed to meet you where you're at and move forward from there.
My Values and Approach
I take a holistic, compassionate and practical approach to rehabilitation. This means I look at lots of different things that can impact on your ability to do activities. This could be difficulties with movement and balance, changes to your thinking skills (e.g. memory, concentration) or mood. It could even be the environment or the activity itself.
I then work with you to create a plan designed to help you reach your activity goals - whatever they might be. This is informed by evidence-based practice and clinical skill. This could include regaining skills, identifying practical adjustments to daily life, recommending equipment or supporting you to manage symptoms, such as fatigue. Or a combination of all of these!
I believe progress and that positive change is possible with the right the support. I meet you where you're at and move froward from there - helping you to reach your version of potential.
Our health and wellbeing is strongly connected to our 'occupations', so finding ways to keep doing them is important.
That's where I can help you.
